I hold a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Auburn University. I completed training in maternal mental health through Postpartum Support International and am a former birth doula, trained and certified through DONA International. I am a faculty member at the College for Traditional Midwifery at The Farm in Summertown, Tenn., where I teach on grief and loss, peripartum mental health, and trauma.
I value my own ongoing therapy, and I have also spent more than 13 years in a training group for modern analytic group therapy.
I am a member of the Nashville Psychotherapy Institute (NPI), the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA), the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and I am a current and founding board member of the Nashville Group Psychotherapy Society (NGPS.)
In my free time, I enjoy hosting family and friends, being outside, planning travel, and spending time with my spouse and two teenagers.
